The problem is that Y is SOMETIMES a vowel. Y is a vowel in words that don't have A, E, I, O, or U. (Credit to Ethan)

The A doesn't belong because it is the only vowel. People say sometimes y is a vowel but the wording in the question is meaning only one letter.
